I hope to connect people with how-to's and resources that are helpful.  I've spent many years in the garage and I'm always willing to provide advice, walk through issues, and maybe even lend a helping hand (or tool).

Intro to the Blog

First blog post, I feel like a writer starting a novel trying to figure out how to start.  Only a few years ago I didn’t know what a blog really was and maybe still don’t fully understand it. I’m far from any kind of writer (as most who end up following this effort will soon discover) I guess I feel the need to answer the question why I started the Shelby and Mustang Enthusiasts of Indiana. I started SME in hopes of bringing like-minded people together to help one another and gather.

My objective for the blog is to fill a need - connect the people who need answers to the answers I’ve found.  There’s a ton of fantastic and useful information that can be found on the web on how to do things.  I’ve done or run into lots of challenges and done a lot of research on how to overcome them. Many great people have helped me along the way and can also chime in to add their advice and experience.  My hope is to make our hobby easier and more enjoyable for all of us centered around Mustangs.  I’m constantly learning new, better, and faster ways to do things from experts or I’ve done projects in the past and I can offer a place to discuss what went well or what didn’t.

The blog won’t specifically focus on new or old, daily driver or show car - but explore a wide range of topics and discussions.  We’ll also stray into what our future might look like (yes, we can and will differ on our opinions and that’s good) and recognize some of the great people that have helped the Shelby and Mustang community along the way.  As an example, in the next blog post we’ll discuss antifreeze with newer Mustangs and how things change.
